Cheerleading is a commitment that requires practicing and conditioning at home in addition to after-school practices. You will depend on your legs to help you lift for stunts. Having a strong core will reduce the chance of injury and give more stability. Below you will find a suggested workout plan. Although not required, committing to this conditioning routine can increase your preparedness for tryouts and possibility of becoming a part of the team.
Choose between stretching routines #1 and #2. Remember hold your stretches for at least 10 seconds without bouncing. Always stop if you feel pain.
